Playing a 5000kbps 1080p video on a 4k TV will ALWAYS be blocky. Resolution-wise the 4K disc wins out too, though the standard Blu-ray is no slouch. Im sure theres a more specific reason as to why that particular shot came out poorly because the liquid cg sequence still looks great. Whereas, encodes have minimal buffering. The Dolby Vision 4k hit in 2018 and The BluRay is the full disc, and the remux is made from that. So there should be no quality difference between the disc and remux as long as there aren't weird metadata dependencies on the player.
