What can I do to reattach this thing? I got some trihead screws for this process. I don't have access to a drill or any power tools. I didn't even have to do that, I only retightened the screws holding the casing together. I'm hoping to find someone who can get the screws out for me. If its really stuck put a bit of super glue on the tip of your screw driver. If I disconnect the Joy-Con from the Switch, it all of a sudden starts working. Thank you, come again. That happened to me, luckily I was able to take it out with 2 flathead screwdrivers big enough to get some traction on the inside sides of the stripped screw while pushing it down and slowly turning. The right one will work perfect wirelessly with double joycon or connected to the console, but not sideways by itself. you either take a bit about the size of the screw and drill the whole thing appart (you likely wont be able to put in a new screw afterwards) or you could try to drill a hole in the center and try superglue again from there. Regardless it looks quite bad, you MAY get lucky with a torx or flat bit that's just barely fits into the hole and you push hard to make it bite into the edge and turn very slowly. While hot, seat the pen into the screw head to form the plastic part of the pen into the stripped screw head. The plastic will harden in the shape of the screw and you should be able to get it out. This has become an annoyance since sometimes I would accidentally pull the Joycon out while reaching for the power button or changing the cartridge.
